The Bundaberg Park Village Caravan Park has been operating since the 1960’s and provides an important range of accommodation options in Bundaberg for tourists, local workers and vulnerable residents including:
- 18 x motel rooms;
- 8 x cabins;
- 105 x caravan sites; and
- 1 x manager’s residence.
HOPD was engaged to assist our client with ascertaining the site’s approval history and ultimately obtain approval for the conversion of 4 caravan sites to 4 x new cabin sites.
Services Provided
- Strategic guidance on project and DA strategy;
- Preparing, lodging and managing a Change application (minor) to Council for development approval within 1 week; and
- Successfully negotiating with Council that the adopted charge in its Infrastructure Charges Resolution should not be applied. Instead a first principles assessment was supported saving our client $10’000s in infrastructure charges.
