In recent weeks, we have written about the different development incentives currently available across South East Queensland local government areas and funding available under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. This has identified that for certain developments to be eligible they must achieve a “gold standard of living” which begs the question, what is a “gold standard of living”?
Earlier this week, Brisbane City Council announced that they would be extending their incentives for qualifying retirement and aged care developments until 31 December 2020. We commend this and know that it will be welcomed by our partners in retirement and aged care.
Developers will be encouraged to include rooftop gardens and communal space on new apartment projects under proposed changes to Brisbane’s City Plan.
